Memorial: Charles Moodie

Lance Corporal Charles Moodie, of 1st Royal Scots Fussiliers was born in North Queensferry.  The family moved to Queensferry where Charles was raised, then later moved to Dalmeny.

Charles was killed in action, on 7.6.1918, aged 23, in France,  during the Battle of the Aisne,  21st  March – 18th July, in the German Spring Offensive, part of the Final Conflicts which ended the War.

Charles is buried in Plot 11.D.3., Sandpits British Cemetery,  Fouquereuil, Pas de Calais, France.

He was awarded the British War and Victory Medals.
