Memorial: Charles Stevenson

Lance Corporal Charles Stevenson, 3rd/1st Lowland Field Ambulance, Royal Medical Corps, was born in Milngavie, Glasgow in 1873. The family later moved to Queensferry where his father became Lord Provost and Charles was Church Organist. He died at sea on 13th August 1915, age 42, by the sinking of the Troop Transport Ship, Royal Edward, on route to Gallipoli. Charles is commemorated in Panel 199 and 200 or 236 to 239 and 328, Helles Memorial, Turkey.
